Specialty Areas

I have specialized training in perinatal mood disorders from Postpartum Support International. I work with individuals, couples, and families navigating:

  • Life transitions & identity exploration

  • Anxiety & depression

  • Trauma & PTSD (EMDR)

  • Relationship & family challenges

  • Perinatal mental health & parenting adjustments

What It’s Like to Work With Me

I strive to create a space where clients feel at ease exploring challenges, discovering strengths, and making meaningful changes. Whether sitting in a cozy office or walking outdoors, therapy should feel natural, engaging, and aligned with what works best for you.

I integrate nature-based and mindfulness practices, recognizing the healing power of movement, time outdoors, and the mind-body connection. For those interested, I offer the option of walk-and-talk sessions or outdoor reflections as part of the therapeutic process.

Qualifications & Training

I hold a Master’s degree in Dispute Resolution from Marquette University, a Master’s degree in School Counseling from The College of Saint Rose, and completed my Licensed Mental Health Certification at Butler University. My background includes:

  • Nine years in education, supporting high school and college students as a Disability Services Counselor and School Counselor

  • Leadership development experience, teaching courses on conflict resolution, Everything DiSC, StrengthsFinder 2.0, and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator

I integrate a variety of evidence-based approaches based on client needs, including:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to encourage self-compassion and values-based living

  • Strengths-Based Therapy to identify and build on existing personal resources

  • Ecotherapy to incorporate nature and movement into the healing process

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma processing

My Philosophy

"Healing isn’t about pushing through—it’s about slowing down, listening to yourself, and making space for what truly matters."
