Teen Art Therapy Group
Tuesdays 6:00pm - 7:30pm
The Cabin in Westfield
Starting January 28th
Discover the transformative power of creativity with Kaylee Garber, Registered Art Therapist, in a 6-week art therapy group tailored specifically for teens (ages 15+) seeking connection, support, and tools to manage anxiety and stress. This empowering program invites participants to explore their emotions and inner world through engaging creative activities that encourage self-expression, mindfulness, and emotional resilience, while fostering a deeper mind/body connection.
What to Expect:
Over the course of six sessions, teens will have the opportunity to:
Explore Their Emotions: Use a variety of art mediums to express and process feelings related to anxiety, stress, and life's challenges in a safe and judgment-free space.
Cultivate Mind/Body Awareness: Participate in creative exercises that link artistic expression with physical sensations, helping to better understand and regulate emotions.
Build Meaningful Connections: Share experiences and form genuine bonds with peers who can relate to the pressures and complexities of teenage life.
Learn Effective Coping Skills: Discover stress-reduction techniques through a combination of art-making and mindfulness practices that can be applied in everyday life.
Enhance Self-Discovery: Reflect on personal strengths, develop a positive self-image, and embrace a deeper understanding of oneself through creative exploration.
Why Join?
No artistic experience is needed—just a willingness to explore and connect in new ways. All necessary materials will be provided, including a personal sketchbook for weekly creative prompts and self-reflection. This group will build a supportive and inclusive community where teens can unlock their creativity and use it as a tool for healing, growth, and emotional regulation.
